We came across a thread on Reddit a few days ago where people were sharing experiences like this one:

The thread made us wonder: who else among musicians might have this kind of energy? Turns out, there are a few top, famous musicians who’ve publicly claimed to have different types of psychic abilities.

#1 Craig David
You probably know Craig David for songs like “7 Days” and “Fill Me In.” You may not know that the British singer has also described himself as psychic.
In 2022, David spoke about his experiences during an interview with Fearne Cotton on the Happy Place podcast. He said he was “super empathic, super sensitive and super psychic” and that he could “see things in the future.”
He also described what he believes is a connection with his ancestors.
According to David, his ears can start ringing when he feels that a guide or ancestor is trying to communicate with him. He described this as something he had previously kept private and said that talking about it publicly made him feel liberated.
#2 Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has never been exactly shy about unusual subjects, but her experiences with the paranormal go further than the stage costumes and theatrical performances.
In 2012, The Standard reported that Gaga said a male spirit called Ryan was following her while she was touring around the world. According to the report, she believed the spirit was not violent but was still frightening and annoying because he would not leave her alone.
Gaga reportedly considered herself very spiritual and believed she was particularly in tune with the spiritual world.
The story became more interesting when she apparently decided to do something about it.
While in Belfast during her Monster Ball Tour, Gaga reportedly organized a séance with a spirit medium and had spent money on paranormal investigators and electromagnetic field meters because she wanted to feel safe while touring.
#3 Elvis Presley
Most people know Elvis as the King of Rock’n’Roll. Fewer people know how seriously he studied spirituality, mysticism, and the paranormal.
A 2025 Guardian article about Miguel Conner’s book The Occult Elvis described Presley as a lifelong seeker who read extensively about spirituality and esoteric subjects. According to the article, Elvis studied meditation, numerology, Kabbalah, Gnosticism, Theosophy, and Eastern spiritual traditions. He also read authors such as Helena Blavatsky, Manly P. Hall, and George Gurdjieff.
This was not just a passing interest.
Elvis reportedly carried books with him while touring and spent a great deal of time reading and making notes. His spiritual adviser Larry Geller also claimed that Elvis had described telepathic visions involving aliens when he was a child.
There were other claims too.
According to the accounts discussed by Conner, Elvis believed he could heal people. One story describes him visiting a friend who was suffering after a motorcycle accident and moving his hands over the man’s back. The friend reportedly experienced a significant reduction in pain afterward.
Elvis also reportedly believed he had encountered UFOs and had unusual visions. One story involved a vision of his future self wearing a white jumpsuit, which was later interpreted as a prediction of the performer he would become.
That is a very different picture of Elvis from the one we usually get from the stage, isn’t it?
#4 Frances Baskerville
Frances Baskerville is probably the least famous musician here, but her story is also the most unusual.
Baskerville, who lived in Dallas, Texas, became known as the “Singing Psychic.” She claimed that her psychic abilities appeared after a serious car accident. According to an account of her life, an 18-wheel truck crashed into her car while she was waiting outside a beauty salon. She survived, experienced what she described as an out-of-body experience, and later said that she had developed psychic abilities.
In particular, she claimed she could see the future and turned her predictions into songs. In 1997, for example, she appeared on The Howard Stern Show and sang a prediction concerning Patrick McNeill, a missing man. She even released an album called Songs From the Beyond. Her recordings are still archived by WFMU, which has featured her music under the name “Frances Baskerville, Singing Psychic.”
Baskerville also claimed to have helped locate missing people and described herself as a private detective specializing in missing children.
